Specifically for the avionics industry, a small batch of units were required robust enough to withstand the following rigorous mil-spec standards; environmental sealing to IP65, dissipation of 30 watts in a 0 to +50 degrees environment and survival of a 1 metre drop test onto concrete.
Where batch volumes and market trial units are required i4 can design to suit low volume manufacturing techniques whilst still maintaining strict mechanical and environmental constraints, all this without investment in costly production tooling.
i4 produced an enclosure design suitable for batch production using aluminium RPM castings, polyurethane rigid cast and foamed resins.
